Both versions include the following features.
UCDS is an advanced diagnostic tool consisting of:
- UCDS software
- UCDS adapter (J2534 compatible)
- Extended license (12 months)
With UCDS you can carry out numerous diagnostic functions on Ford vehicles, provided you have the appropriate knowledge. The software receives regular free updates for software and databases.
- Update Wizard (updates for modules)
- VBF Loader (upload your own software to modules)
- Direct Config (configuration of vehicles programmed using Direct Config, e.g. Mondeo MK5)
PATS license: (not included)
Grants access to the functions delete, write keys to the vehicle and initialize modules (which require initialization of the PATS system) when replacing.

The main features of UCDS V5 include:
- Diagnosis of all electronic units of the vehicle via CAN bus.
- Displays information on part numbers, calibration versions and block serial numbers.
- Coding and retrofitting of car blocks.
- Reset blocks and reset their parameters.
- Russification of car blocks.
- Correction of odometer readings in the dashboard and other blocks.
- Chiptuning the car firmware to improve performance or make other changes.
- Support for the J2534 passthru protocol for working with third-party software.
- Edit the direct configuration of vehicle modules
- Ford Focus 3 Level 1 dashboard update
UCDS software updates (version 3.xxx.xxx) are only available for V4 and V5 devices.
The most important changes to the predecessors:
- Support for CAN FD bus added.
- "Bench mode" Bosch ECU function added, tested with PCMflash.
- Work via WLAN or cable.
- From version 3.xxx.xxx of the software, tokens are no longer required.
- Level 1 tokens have been replaced by the ODO license.
- Level-2-3-4-5 tokens have been completely removed.
- Motral has been completed since version 3.xxx.xxx.
- Added support for the ODO license, allowing you to correct mileage -- - data and access features that previously required Level 1 tokens.
- Added EXT license, similar to the previous extended license.
- Added PATS license to allow access to PATS functions for programming Ford vehicle keys.
- All licenses now have a subscription term limit: 1/ 6/ 12 months.
